Three poems from my forthcoming collection will appear in The Fiddlehead this fall, and The New Quarterly is publishing an essay commissioned for their “Falling in Love with Poetry” series. The essay will also be included in an anthology of the same name, to be edited by Kim Jernigan. I’m really thrilled. This was a tough essay to write, as I wanted to push beyond the beauty and music and the sense of ‘universal human truths’ being told that made me a poetry lover in the first place.
