I was happy to receive my third Pushcart Prize nomination in the mail today. To be honest, it’s a thrill to get anything that isn’t a bill. A hand-written envelope is a bonus too. Last year’s anthology was outstanding. I particularly loved an unusual story called God of Ducks and looked the author, Tina Blevins, up online. I was really shocked to read her obituary. It’s not clear but I believe she took her own life last year at age 28. A tragedy.
